X-ray and neutron imaging applications in soil science Working group member, Internal LINXS Fellow
Anders Tunlid, Pro-Dean in Faculty of Science and Professor in Microbial Ecology, Dept. of Biology, Lund University. The two main aims of Anders’s research are to get a molecular understanding of the interaction between EM fungi, organic matter and saprophytic microorganisms in soils; and to examine the evolutionary mechanisms leading to the symbiotic lifestyle and functional diversity of soil-dwelling fungi. He is also leading a large Wallenberg foundation project ‘Molecular Interactions Controlling Soil Carbon Sequestration (MICCS)’ major part of which is taking use of such cutting-edge analytical techniques as X-ray and neutron imaging.
