“I wanted to convey that you can make an impact through what you do” Anurag Kawde competes in Forskar Grand Prix

On September 26, Anurag Kawde, postdoc at LINXS, participated in the competition Forskar Grand Prix. It is an initiative where researchers compete to present their research in the most captivating, inspiring and educational way – in just four minutes.

One aim of the competition is to inspire youth to get interested in research and to broaden the often preconceived view of who can be a researcher. Anurag Kawde presented his research on artificial photosynthesis together with four other researchers from Lund University. More than 100 people attended the event which was held at Helsingborg stadsteater. A majority were high school students.

– It was great to see so many young people there. Many of them came up to me after the presentation to ask questions and to find out more about the research, says Anurag Kawde.

– Part of the reason I became a researcher is that I want to make the world more sustainable. I wanted to convey that message in my presentation: that you can make an impact through what you do. Using the technologies offered here at MAX IV and ESS, together with the expertise at LINXS, are great opportunities to push research frontiers forward, concludes Anurag Kawde.
