Important information for invited speakers - beware phishing attempts!

Dear All,

We have been made aware of a concerning issue regarding phishing emails from “travel agencies” targeting speakers scheduled for our LINXS events, and we know that at least two invited speakers have received such emails.

These emails are NOT from LINXS or Lund University!

Below is an example of such an e-mail:

Please note that:

• All travel arrangements for LINXS events in Lund will be managed through Nina Ahlbeck who has an e-mail address ending with “.lu.se”.

• LINXS will never request speakers to pay invoices for later reimbursement (as the phishing emails might suggest).

If you are scheduled to travel to LINXS/Lund for an event, and if your expenses are covered by LINXS, please ensure that all communication regarding travel arrangements originates from the event organisers or Nina Ahlbeck.

We hope this has not caused any inconvenience and would appreciate if you notify us if you receive suspicious emails related to travel arrangements for our LINXS events.
