X-ray laser reveals how bacterial protein morphs in response to light, Image from SLAC

A LINXS Webinar series dedicated to the exploitation of the coherence properties of photon beams produced at new generation synchrotron sources.

CoWork is a showcase of research utilising advanced methods for materials characterisation based on coherent X-rays (e.g. Coherent Diffraction Imaging, Ptychography, Holography, XPCS, ….) with the aim of informing and inspiring new users.

The series started in October 2020, and includes a series of lectures and tutorials delivered by national and international experts and tailored for beginners with numerous examples of applications to materials research. The final goal is to increase awareness about these methods and to create the basis for a larger user community that will exploit and develop them.

Who should participate?

For all researchers intrigued by the spectacular coherence properties of X-rays produced at modern synchrotron sources – of which MAX IV is an example. A showcase of research based on the use of coherent X-rays to inform and inspire new users.

DO you want to contribute?

The Webinar series has space for a limited number of contributed talks on:

  • application and/or development of inversion microscopies

  • scientific & materials questions that could benefit from inverse microscopy

Please, contact the organisers for this possibility, gerardina.carbone@maxiv.lu.se
