US$0.00

This webinar reviews table-top x-ray spectroscopy setups. Second, it focuses on the discussion of time-resolved table-top setups as developed at Chemical Physics in Lund. In the third part, the webinar extends the discussion on the proposal writing process with a more detailed section on how to estimate the feasibility of an experiment as would be required for a proposal.

Speaker: Jens Uhlig, Chemical Physics, Lund University, Sweden

This webinar is part of LINXS webinar series, Let's Dive into the Atoms. The aim is to create a fundamental understanding of how you as a researcher can use x-rays and neutrons in your own research.

Abstract

In this follow up talk we will discuss three topics of the previous talk in greater details. First, we review table-top x-ray spectroscopy setups. Second, we will focus on the discussion of time-resolved table-top setups as developed at chemical physics in Lund. In the third part of the talk we will extend the discussion on the proposal writing process with a more detailed section on how to estimate the feasibility of an experiment as would be required for a proposal.

Biography

Jens is an associate professor at the Division of Chemical Physics, in the Department of Chemistry, Lund University, and is an expert in time-resolved optical and X-ray methods, particularly on ultra-fast timescales. Jens will be the representative of Working Groups 2 and 3 in the Core Group (charge transfer materials and light-harvesting processes). In the Core Group he will be asked to monitor progress in operando measurements across the Theme, and the Theme’s outreach activities.
