Martin Meedom Nielsen is professor in X-ray Science at the Department of Physics, Technical University of Denmark. He is the founding head of the section for Neutrons and X-rays for Material Physics at DTU Physics and vice chair of European XFEL Council. His research includes the study of charge and energy transfer processes in molecular systems in an environment and their coupling to atomic-nuclear dynamics using and developing combined methods and instrumentation for time resolved x-ray spectroscopy and scattering.
